2025 International Celebration of Flavors
Thank you for joining us on March 28, 2025, for the International Celebration of Flavors: Sips, Samples & Silent Auction!
It was an unforgettable evening filled with incredible flavors, signature drinks (both alcoholic and nonalcoholic), and a silent auction, all in support of sustainability education at Meridian World School.
Guests had the chance to taste the world with food and drinks from six regions: India, Japan, Latin America, Sweden, Fusion/Irish, and the Southern U.S. From bold spices to delicate pastries, local favorites like Bayleaf Indian Restaurant and Bar, The Sweet Tooth Parlor, Myxd Creations, IKEA Round Rock, Whiskey Cake Kitchen & Bar, and more helped bring this global experience to life. This year’s silent auction was our biggest yet.
Thank you for making this celebration a success and helping fund impactful sustainability projects at Meridian!
2024 International Celebration of Flavors
Thank you to everyone who joined us on February 16, 2024, for an evening celebrating the diversity of global cultures at the International Celebration of Flavors.
This event, previously known as the Beer & Wine Festival, took guests on a journey sampling food and drink from around the world. This night featured a selection of beers, wines, and non-alcoholic drinks, plus savory and sweet small bites representing eight regions of the world: Australia, Polynesia, Asia, India, Africa, Europe, America, and Latin America!
We enjoyed a selection of carefully chosen wines by a former sommelier (a Kinder Meridian parent), such as Bandini Malbec from Argentina, Honey Wine from Africa, Old Westminster Orange Piquette, and more. Global Beers highlighted Lagers, Asahi, Kirin, and a Czech Pilsner. Complementing this experience were a variety of NON-alcoholic beverages including Mango Lassi, Aqua Fresca, coffee, teas, and Horchata.
Food offerings featured several Williamson County restaurants such as Fuego Latino, Casa Costa, Namaste, Palatable Nigerian Cuisine, T’So Chinese, Sharetea, and more. The evening featured a rich variety of culinary treasures including the enticing sweetness of Latin American Pastels de Natas, the spice of Indian Pakoras, and the richness of Nigerian Jollof Rice and Chicken, among other delectable delights.
The Friends of Meridian Silent Auction closed on February 16 at 8:30 pm, during the International Celebration of Flavors and Silent Auction Event. We had items such as a zip-line tour with Lake Travis Zip-line Adventures, a cake-baking class from Over the Top Cake Supplies, wine tasting for six at the Messina Hof Winery, and tickets to see Neil DeGrasse Tyson at the Long Center.
Thank you to everyone who joined us at the International Wine & Beer Festival! This event made a comeback after its successful debut in 2019, and we were thrilled to see familiar faces and new friends. Attendees had the opportunity to sample wines from around the world and enjoy beer from local vendor Vista Brewery. We're grateful for the support of our Meridian families and local businesses who generously contributed to the silent auction. Your participation made the event a success, and we look forward to more celebrations together in the future!
